Analytics cookies (optional). Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-LD47LBXJ6Q) sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to measure page views, navigation paths and aggregate usage. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded at all until you choose "Accept analytics", and it stops measuring if you decline.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell personal data.

When analytics is accepted, Google Analytics processes your device and browser type, approximate location derived from a truncated IP address (IP anonymisation is enabled), pages viewed, referring source and interaction events. Google acts as our processor for this measurement and may transfer data outside the UK or EEA under its standard contractual clauses.

If you create an account we process your email address, account type, subscription tier and role. When you appraise a site we store the location, boundary geometry, appraisal results and the raw planning data used, so reports remain auditable and reproducible.

We also record product analytics events and marketing attribution (landing page, referrer, UTM parameters, device type) in our own backend to understand how the service is used and to support your account.

Consent for optional analytics cookies. Contract performance for your account, subscription and site appraisals. Legitimate interests for service security, fraud prevention and abuse limits on free searches.

Account and site data are kept while your account is active and then deleted or anonymised on request. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics.

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, withdraw analytics consent at any time using the controls above, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. To exercise any right, email chris@mcgarrigle.com.

Planning, environmental and case law content is retrieved from public sources including planning.data.gov.uk, GOV.UK, the National Archives Find Case Law service and OpenStreetMap. Queries to these services are made from our servers where possible; the context map and nearby-feature lookups load map tiles and place data directly in your browser.
